Last day with Elisabeth and english class. Like other days, I was late. I didn’t find keys of my moto.
When i have been coming in class I was surprise to see some foods on a table. I didn’t think it was the last day and it’s enjoy to celebrate this moment.
Poster presentation was difficult. Subject of my poster was physically hard. I learned for the next time to choose an easier subject than metamaterials.
I listened three differents subjects.
- How will be the future can? by Hervé
Hervé spoke about four caracteristics.
-Electronic new systeme like AEC (Adaptive Cruise Control) which see people in the dark with infrared vision system.
-Comford embarked which will perform with head up display with several things.
-Ecological and economical car. The most important idea is a fuell cell. It is a generator of current which transforms chemical energy in electric continious current.
-Decrease weight car by using magnesium. It is 36% lighter than steel.
- Causes and consequences of global warning by Morgan Frihsc
Scientists think green house effect increase spend this century. Developped country start to change them ideas. Human society have to respect nature. But some poor contry start to developp them economy. For them, it is necessary to have a heavy industry.
Why do this country can’t pollute when all rich countrys polluted before?
Why do they must bemore intelligent and brave?
Green house effect
Causes:
-Burnig fossil fuels
-Pollutes our atmosphere
-Increasing the green house effect
Consequences:
-Global warning and changing our climate.
Cycle of green effact
-Consumption of energy
-Increasing of green house gas effect concentration
-Temperature increases
-Ice is melting
-New layers of petroleum are exploited (more expansive)

One area of brain is concerned by visual traitement. Optical illusions that creat images that are different fraom the objects that make them.
There are five differents area.
Our eye move quickly horizontally. So, a horizontal line appear smaller than a line in the same vertical length.
For exchequer illusion square white appears grey. Our visual systems immediately estimates a lightening vectors. Grey is an average from black and white

Spend Februry and March, I watched and read a lot of mangas. I have been starting to read a manga which call “Hajime No Ippo”. It’s a boxing manga. It’s story of a boxer, Ippo Makunaouchi. He is very shine but he has a a strong resolve. I like Japanese world with ideas which made Japanes society.
Very good.

I have been starting a book wich call “tales of the south seas” by Jack London. I like this writter. There are two shorts storys, “the chinigo” and “the house of Mapuhi”.
“The chinigo” is a story of a chinese worker who is condemned for murder.
“The house of Mapuhi” is a story of a pearl diver who find an enormous pearl.
Very interesting.

This day Elisabeth gave us different articles. We worked in pairs. We had to understood an article wich called “Rocks to soak up carbon dioxyde”.
Next, we had to explain our article to other students with drawing and diagram. I think it was a poster activity preparation.
Third time, we listened summary of differents groups. Our article talks about, “Quantum leap in chemical sensing” by Chemistry World in December 2008.
Summary:
Some scientists discovered a new method to detect iron and copper. Iron and copper can be detected simultaneously in water samples. They change colour of solution. If there is a copper, solution become gren while for the iron it’s orange. Physicaly it’s possible because there is not over lap of spectra.

I didn’t go to my english lesson. I was very tired. Study and work were a classic day but since one month I have been practiced some sports and this day I performed my running time…… It was exhausting. But it wasn’t the real reason.
This day, I was late about twenty minutes. The last lesson I was late too because there were some people who demonstated against governement. So I had trouble to be late again.
When I took a tram to come to university I remembered that my the last book of my favourite manga is arriving this day. I didn’t need more reasons for going to manga shop and read my book in a nice park.

In order to prepare for exam we have done an exam in December 2008. It seemed to be be easy but it was long. I didn’t have enough time to finish it. I have learned that I couldn’t read and understand all texts. I must read quickly and revelate important informations. Some students thought this exercise was unusefull but it was an effective preparation for exam.
